St Katherine’s Library

Ledbury, Herefordshire, UK

The proposed St Katherine’s Library and new public square in Ledbury is located in the heart of one of the finest black and white timbered market towns in England.

The site is historically sensitive and home to a number of significant historical buildings including a hospital built in the 13th century and the Masters House built in the 15th Century. Memories and traces of the areas ancient gardens are reflected in our modern interpretation of a medieval garden with an orchard, a herb walk and ornamental planting.

The scheme has been designed in accordance with sustainability of design, inclusive design for all and historical sensitivity as its driving principles which reflect the ambitions of the client.
