Pendine Sands Museum and Eco Hostel - Wales

The masterplan for this international tourist attractor project comprises a new 50 bed hostel, Sands of Speed and Heritage Coast Museums. This remarkable landscape of beach and dune draws substantial visitor numbers to this location on a seasonal basis. The beach is most famously known as the home of British land speed record attempts (taking advantage of the flat hard and expansive sands of the beach.) The masterplan includes new external spaces in the form of the museums gardens, exhibition esplanade and outdoor dining and events spaces. Views over the protected Carmarthen Bay coast, and toward sand dunes and backdrop hills are an essential aspect of the visitor experience and interpretation of this beautiful landscape setting.
