Peabody Avenue features in Evening Standard online

Peabody Avenue was built by the Peabody Trust in the 1870’s and is now protected by Conservation Area status. A row of historic London Plane trees situated down its centre dates back to the estates original construction and gives the space a distinctive character. We were commissioned to design a substantially upgraded avenue surface, new play areas, a ball court and community garden facilities. Significant works to preserve the historic trees have taken place, with areas of hard standing around the trees carefully broken out for planting. Damaged trees were replaced with new semi-mature London Plane trees to provide long-term mature tree cover within the avenue.
